Supporting prostate cancer research

Out with Cancer: LGBTQI+ experiences of cancer and cancer care.

Prof Jane Ussher, Western Sydney University

Out with Cancer is an international study on LGBTQI+ experiences of cancer and cancer care. We are interested in the experiences of all LGBTQI+ people who have had cancer, or who have had medical intervention to reduce cancer risk, across all cancer types. We are also interested in the experiences of LGBTQI+ cancer carers, and people who have cared for a LGBTQI+ person with cancer.

This survey will ask about your wellbeing and quality of life, social support, and experiences with the healthcare system. We will use this information to develop better information and support for LGBTQI+ people with cancer and their carers.

Ethics approval has been granted by Western Sydney University Human Research Ethics Committee (H12664).

Who is this study for?

You may be eligible for this study if you:

  • Identify as LGBTQI+, and
  • Are aged 15 years or over, and
