Supporting prostate cancer research

Exploring the experiences of partners of prostate cancer survivors and the role of information technology to support their needs.

Dr Anna Green, University of Technology Sydney

Prostate cancer not only affects men but also partners. Partners often experience greater levels of distress and anxiety than men with prostate cancer and many have unmet needs.

This study investigated the experiences of caring for someone with prostate cancer and identified strategies for meeting carers’ needs. Feedback on a potential mobile app to support partners was also sought.

Ethics approval was granted by the University of Technology Sydney Human Research Ethics Committee.

The study is no longer recruiting participants.
